Privacy Policy

[Placeholder. Drafted policy pending review by an Ohio attorney, not final legal copy.]

Effective Date: August 2, 2026

Last Updated: August 2, 2026

TN-Tech, a sole proprietorship operated by Terence Hite in Louisville, Ohio (“TN-Tech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates tn-tech.us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

This policy is incorporated into our Terms & Conditions.

1. Who We Are

We are a small web design and development business serving Stark County and surrounding Northeast Ohio. This policy is written to be read, not to be scrolled past. If anything here is unclear, email and ask.

2. What This Policy Covers

This policy covers information we collect through tn-tech.us and in the course of providing our services to clients.

It does not cover websites we build for clients. Once a client's website is live, that client controls it and is responsible for its own privacy practices. See Section 10.

3. Information You Give Us

Through our contact and quote forms:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your phone number (if you provide one)
  • your business name
  • details about your project, budget, or timeline
  • anything else you choose to type into the message field

If you become a client: business information, billing details, content and materials for your website, and — where necessary to do the work — access credentials for services such as your domain registrar, hosting account, analytics, or Google Business Profile.

Please do not send sensitive information through our forms. That includes passwords, payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, and health information. If we need credentials to work on your site, we will arrange a secure method separately.

4. Information Collected Automatically

Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, request time, and pages requested. These logs exist for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies. This site uses only cookies necessary for it to function. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide any notice or consent mechanism required by law.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • respond to your inquiry and answer your questions;
  • prepare quotes and proposals;
  • schedule calls, meetings, and project milestones;
  • perform the services you have hired us to perform;
  • send project updates, approval requests, and launch notices;
  • send invoices and payment reminders;
  • provide hosting, maintenance, and support under a Care Plan;
  • keep records required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes;
  • protect our site and business against fraud, abuse, and security threats.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not make automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

6. We Do Not Sell Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes. We do not trade, rent, or exchange contact lists.

7. Who We Share Information With

We share information only with service providers that help us operate, and only to the extent needed:

ProviderPurposeWhat it may receive
VercelWebsite hosting and deploymentTechnical/log data
ResendTransactional email deliveryName, email address, message content
Domain registrarDomain registration and DNSRegistration details for domains we manage
Payment processorInvoicing and paymentsBilling name, contact details, transaction data

Each provider operates under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not control their practices.

Tools we may add. We may in the future add scheduling or calendar booking software, and productivity or email services such as Google Workspace. If we do, information you submit may be processed by those providers as well, and we will update this policy before or at the time we begin using them.

Other disclosures. We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process; to establish or defend legal claims; to investigate fraud or security incidents; or in connection with a sale or reorganization of our business, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this policy.

8. How Long We Keep Information

  • Inquiries that do not become projects: up to two years, then deleted.
  • Client project records: for the duration of the engagement and up to seven years afterward, for accounting, tax, and legal purposes.
  • Client credentials: removed from our systems when the engagement ends, or on your request. We recommend you rotate any credentials shared with us once a project concludes.
  • Server logs: per our provider's standard retention period.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information in our care, including access controls, encrypted connections, reputable service providers, and limiting access to what is needed to do the work.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we experience a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by Ohio's data breach notification law and any other applicable law.

10. Websites We Build for Clients

When we build a website for a client, that client — not TN-Tech — controls the site and is responsible for its own privacy practices, privacy policy, and legal compliance.

Where we host or maintain a client's website under a Care Plan, we may have incidental access to data collected through that site, such as contact form submissions. We handle that data only as directed by the client, do not use it for our own purposes, and do not sell or disclose it.

If you submitted information to a website we built, direct your privacy requests to that business, not to us. We will forward requests we receive in error where we can identify the right recipient.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Regardless of where you live, you may:

  • Ask what we have about you;
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information;
  • Ask us to delete your information, subject to records we are required to keep;
  • Opt out of marketing email using the unsubscribe link in any such message;
  • Ask a question about anything in this policy.

Email Contact us or call Contact us. We will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you or treat you differently for making a request.

State privacy laws. Ohio does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy statute granting these rights against private businesses. Many other states do. If you live in a state with such a law, you may have additional statutory rights — and we extend the rights listed above to everyone as a matter of policy, whether or not a statute requires it. Tell us your state of residence when you make a request so we can apply the correct process.

Global Privacy Control. We honor browser-based opt-out signals such as GPC where technically feasible.

12. Children

This site is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.

13. Links to Other Sites

Our site links to other websites, including portfolio work and third-party tools. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Read their policies before providing information.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our tools and services change. The current version is always posted here with its effective date.

If we make a material change — such as adding a new category of data collection or a new provider that receives your personal information — we will update the effective date and, where we have your contact information and the change affects you, notify you directly.
